My Experience at Katsucon 2025
Katsucon 2025 just ended, and I wanted to take some time to think about my experience. This was my first time selling at the Exhibit Hall, and it was such an exciting and fun weekend. I met so many amazing people, but one moment really stuck with me.
Meeting a Repeat Customer
One of the best parts of the event was meeting a customer who had bought from Arta Asiatica before! She told me that she and her mom love the tabi socks they got. Her mom even said they help with her blood circulation! Hearing that made me really happy because it showed that my products actually make a difference in people’s lives. That’s why I started Arta Asiatica—to share high-quality, Japanese-inspired items with people who appreciate them.

Meeting Amazing Vendors
Another wonderful part of Katsucon was meeting fellow vendors who were so kind and supportive. I was especially moved by how nice Linsey from Single Sploot and Victoria from Victoria Griffinsong were. Connecting with other artists and small business owners who share a passion for their craft was truly inspiring. I’m really looking forward to seeing them again at Otakon later this year!
Exploring Washington, D.C.
After Katsucon, I decided to explore Washington, D.C. since it was Presidents’ Day. It was my first time visiting on this holiday, and the city was really lively. Walking around the National Mall and seeing all the famous monuments was a great way to relax after the busy weekend.
This trip also helped me plan for my next event! I’m super excited to return to Washington, D.C. for the Sakura Festival. It’s the perfect event for Arta Asiatica since it celebrates Japanese culture and cherry blossoms. I can’t wait to meet even more people and share my love for Japanese crafts.
Looking Forward
Katsucon reminded me how much I love what I do. Meeting new and returning customers, hearing their stories, and sharing my passion for Japanese-inspired products makes all the hard work worth it.
To everyone who stopped by my booth—thank you so much! Your support means everything to me. Whether you just found out about Arta Asiatica or have been following my journey for a while, I appreciate every one of you.
Stay tuned for updates about the Sakura Festival, and if you have any thoughts or suggestions, let me know. I’d love to hear from you! 🌸
